I went here on a sushi craving, right before closing! My friend and I shared a Seaweed Salad, Beef Negimaki, a Dancing Angel Roll and a Rainbow Roll. Everything looked great and tasted great! The waiters weren't giving us much attention, but you can't blame them--it was closing time. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Obviously, nobody here gets the REAL reason of why you should come here and keep coming back....it's called THUNDER N LIGHTNING! This drink cocktail is the best I've ever had anywhere in NYC! Hawaii Sea is famous for its #1 drink- THUNDER N LIGHTNING! It's great for happy hour, dates or just chilling with friends! BEWARE- you may not be able to handle (2) of them...sucker! Get your drink on!

When we were little, my sisters and I would get super excited whenever my parents were "taking us to Hawaii" and I used to say I'd rather go to Hawaii Sea than the real thing (such innocence, such stupidity). Great food. I haven't had anything here that I didn't like. Try their beef lo mein, seafood soup, shortribs, whole fried flounder or sea bass, beef with mixed veggies, and their sushi is pretty good. The decor is kind of corny lol but it adds to the experience. Service is fast, not always friendly, but never unprofessional.

I've been going to the Hawaii Sea since I was a teenager and I have never been disappointed with the food or service at the Hawaii Sea. The food is great and place itself is very stylish! You'll fell like your in a very fancy downtown restaurant rather than one in the Bronx. Everything from the fresh Sushi, the appitizers and the entree's are fresh and very tasty! Entree's are usually very generous and you may find yourself taking home a doggie bag. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great!

I've been coming here since I was a little kid. I'm 31 now so that gives you a rough idea. This is definitely one of my favorite Chinese Places. The pupu for 2 is as good as it gets, the crab patties are my favorite. The shish ka bobs are also awesome and the fantail shrimp I absolutely love. The chicken in foil is pretty good as are the cute as heck mini spare ribs. I love the wonton soup, the egg drop soup is ok. Unfortunately it's not the cheapest place there is, but hey it's good so it's worth it to spoil yourself occasionally. They're also very accomodating to special orders, I tell them I don't want Sauce on a dish and I also want it steamed they do it :)

As far as quality, service, variety, and freshness for your money: this is the best pick for Asian food in Morris Park. If you are craving any type of food that might have Asian origins, New Hawaii Sea will most likely have it on their menu. In fact you could probably get a nice hamburger and fries here, but why would you do that? The restaurant has just completed some renovations that have improved the indoor and outdoor ambiance. This is a great place for groups! They also have a separate bar area. I've always been amazed by how much this place runs like clockwork. If you sit for a little while and look around, you'll notice as another table leaves, only seconds pass before the table is stripped and restored to its original glory of napkins folded into water glasses. The food has always been very good and prompt. I'm assuming the kitchen runs as orderly as the floor. The first time I tried this place, my dad and I split a steamed fish and it was incredible. Recently I had the Chicken Lo Mein and my boyfriend had the General Tso's Chicken. We were both impressed by the freshness and flavorful sauces. The General Tso's was crispy and the vegetables were light and well cooked. I have tried a few pieces of sushi and found them to be very good and pretty reasonably priced. My only complaint is that there's no parking lot. For a restaurant this large, It would be nice to have a lot, but beggars can't be choosers. Overall, this is a great place if you're feeling like a sit-down Chinese/Japanese meal.

Surprisingly delicious restaurant! Just a few block walk off the Westchester Ave stop on the 6 train. The restaurant is spacious with several tables and booths, along with a small bar inside. The menu is huge and it usually takes me a little while to figure out what I want. The drinks here are the usual ones you see in chinese restaurants that come in silly glasses. But yummm!! This chinese restaurant is not your usual walk-up hole in the wall. It's a great place to take a date, and to take your friends and family when visiting. I've taken all my friends and family here because it is yummmy! I suddenly got a craving for egg rolls...gotta go!
